Teaching

Caleb has a passion for teaching and sharing his knowledge and work with new generations. Since 2018, he has been teaching violin, viola, and music theory in schools in both the UK and Hong Kong. At present, he regularly teaches students privately and works in schools as a part-time music teacher.

He is skilled at discovering each student’s strengths and helping them improve their technical skills while playing their instruments. His teaching method is based on russian and franco-belgian schools and highly focus on guided student's interpretations and concepts of music. Affected by his european music education and Leopold Auer teaching method, he think natural physical development, combining technical mastery with artistic interpretation is better than just learning with strict, rigid technical system.

Caleb is currently working as a freelance musician, mainly teaching students privately. He is also frequently invited to schools as a music theory lecturer, violin tutor, and viola tutor. Over the years, he has trained many students, and many of them actively participate in music-making within their communities.

Right now, He is the Part Time HKDSE Music Teacher in Salesian English School, and the violin teacher position in St. Hilary's Primary School, AOG St. Hilary's College (Primary Section).
